Custom Performance & Design
In house material compound capability and rich experience in PTFE filed can full fill your needs on o rings and backup rings.
PTFE O Ring is mainly used for static sealing application in pipes, cylinders, bushings, stems, flanges and connections. Where chemical and physical inertia, as well as resistance to friction, temperature and ageing, are particularly strategic.
Backup rings are not seals themselves, but are used in conjunction with O-rings or other seals in high-pressure applications. Backup rings are installed in the downstream side of the gland, however, can be installed either side of the O-ring to give a high-performance double-acting seal.
For over one decade, Dechengwang has been a leader in servicing and supplying our customers with only the best quality O-Rings and machined plastics all at competitive pricing. With so many applications across so many industries, it’s easy to see why manufacturers turn to PTFE or compounding O-rings when they seek a quality sealing solution. You can find our O-rings perform well in such industries as:
PTFE back up rings
PTFE Guide Ring
PTFE O Ring
PTFE Piston Rings

Because of the high demands of chemical, mechanical, and thermal applications, our PTFE O rings and back-up rings are manufactured utilizing precise machining techniques and, in particular, semi-finished material.
O-rings are one of the most common seals used in machine design because they are inexpensive, easy to make, reliable and have simple mounting requirements. They have been tested to seal up to 5,000 psi (34 MPa) of pressure. The maximum recommended pressure of an O-ring seal depends on the seal hardness and gland clearance.
While rubber or elastomeric compounds are the most prevalent O-Ring materials, certain operating conditions and hardware combinations warrant the usage of PTFE as the material.
PTFE has numerous advantages over elastomers. These benefits include naming a few, corrosion resistance, a wide temperature range, good electrical characteristics, and almost infinite shelf life.
PTFE O-Ring Temperature Range
Standard Low Temp: -200°C (-328°F)
Standard High Temp: 250°C (482°F)
Backup rings can be utilized in any application, however, they are most commonly used when higher pressures or pressure spikes, higher temperatures, and/or bigger extrusion gaps are present.
Backup rings are not seals in and of themselves, but rather work in tandem with O-rings or other seals in high-pressure situations.
Backup rings are often positioned on the gland’s downstream side, although they can be installed on either side of the O-ring to provide a high-performance double-acting seal.
When used for relevant purposes under appropriate conditions, industrial PTFE backup rings provide various applicable benefits. PTFE backup rings are built in such a way that they can be used to prevent extrusion in rubber sealing systems.
O-rings are used in hydraulic and pneumatic systems to provide excellent sealing solutions in dynamic and static applications. However, when subjected to high temperatures and pressures, O-rings extrude into the clearance between mating surfaces.
Elevation in ambient pressure or temperature places a significant strain on the physical and chemical qualities of the rubber O-rings, causing the rings to extrude farther and eventually fail and leak.
PTFE V-rings are primarily utilized for sealing on hydraulic cylinder plungers and piston rods, presses, valve spindles, and controllers. Good sealing performance is ensured by the numerous sealing lips and the extensive contact surfaces.
The seal sets are made up of a pressure ring, a backup ring, and V-rings that are sized and designed to fit the varied operational situations. As a result, they are less susceptible to contaminants from the working medium than one-piece seals.
Along with PTFE, PEEK V-ring are also a good choice. With us, you can choose from a wide variety of materials as per your requirements.
